The action of our intellect
is primarily the function of our understanding,
but secondarily critical
and finally organizing, controlling and formative.
To have a developed intellect is always useful
if one can enlighten it from above and turn it to a divine use.
The intellect too exclusively developed
misses what the heart has to offer.
Intellect devoid of spirit can only pile up
external knowledge and machinery and efficiency.
